During the recent New York Design FaIl Market I was delighted to preview Benjamin Moore’s 2014 Color of the Year, Breath of Fresh Air. This soothing blue is neutral and subtle. Paint your walls and ceilings to envelope your space with a refreshing hue. Breathe in to renew, breathe out and feel harmony.

The 23 colors in the 2014 Color Forecast are livable, and everlasting. They can be sequenced to flow from room to room lifting the spirit in your environment.

We’re transitioning away from gray to subtle tints of blues, greens, lavenders and pinks. These understated colors are not trendy strong statements. They are the new neutrals.

New palates are inspired by aspirations, art, pottery, as well as color schemes that emerge in landscape design, the auto industry, fashion, and graphics.

Fresh beautiful neutrals soothe the soul.
